We love wild country.

We have now established a simple and structured way to support it.

About the Fund

Background.

We are Georgina and Michael and we have been long standing givers to environmental and animal welfare groups. The Wild Country Environmental Fund represents a more substantial and structured approach to our giving.

Our Giving Philosophy

We don’t know the best places that our funds should go. We look for smart people doing good science-based work. That’s why we already enjoy a long standing relationship (and bequest commitment) with organisations like Bush Heritage Australia and the Bob Brown Foundation. Do visit their sites to learn about their very successful work.

Our Special Advisors.

We would like the fund to help our young nieces Arwen & Lowenna get involved in philanthropy from an early age. They have their own budget to gift funds to charities they select!

Australian Philanthropic Services

We chose to work with Australian Philanthropic Services (APS). They are the leading independent, not-for-profit philanthropic services organisation in Australia. Their 600+ clients donated over $100 million to charity last year. We highly recommend them! Find out more here.

Our Fund Structure

APS manages our charitable giving using a named giving fund (also known as a sub-fund) in their public ancillary fund, the APS Foundation. Our grants from Wild Country come from the APS Foundation and can only go to charities with DRG1 status.

Donating To The Fund.

Anyone is welcome to donate to the Wild Country Environmental Fund. Donations are tax deductible.
